OJ Simpson's sister has broken her silence to say she will go to her death bed convinced the former football player did not kill his wife.
Shirley Baker, who appeared in court every day to support her brother during the highly publicized trial, said Simpson looked their mother in the eye and proclaimed his innocence, saying: 'I did not do it. I love Nicole.'
While Simpson was acquitted for the murders of his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, he was later sentenced to 33 years for armed robbery and kidnapping.
Baker still talks to her brother on the phone every week and told Inside Edition he is watching his weight in jail as he awaits the possibility of parole this fall.

More than two decades after Simpson was found not guilty, the former running back is still widely believed to have committed the gruesome murders.
But Baker has stood by her brother all these years and said: 'I know he did not kill Nicole and Ron.'
Baker said when their mother confronted Simpson point blank, he hugged her, looked her in the eye and said: 'Mommy, no, I did not do it. I love Nicole.'
But she worried about his well-being as she watched the slow-speed police chase that transfixed the nation.
Instead of turning himself in, Simpson sat in the back seat of a white Bronco driven by his friend, with reports he was holding a gun to his head as patrol cars pursued them for 75 miles.
Worried that he might commit suicide, Baker said: 'My husband and I slept in the room with OJ. He was just out of it. He just kept saying, "Nicole, Nicole, Nicole."'
Even now, Baker rejoiced, watching video footage of the moment her brother was acquitted.
She added: 'My brother would not slit his wife’s throat, leave her outside and with the door open with his two children upstairs in the bedroom. I will go to my death bed for that.'

Baker, who called the sentencing 'payback', calls her brother every week and visits him in Nevada four times a year.
She cleared up rumors that he's converted to Islam, and said he is still a Baptist.

Simspon is eligible for parole in October 2017, and he delivered a message through his sister, knowing she would be speaking to Inside Edition.
Baker dutifully relayed the message, and said: 'He wants the public to remember who he was.'
